About as deep as a puddle

PPSP event in Philadelphia, PA (USA)

This came to me in my email. Also, don't forget that today is Blog for Choice!

Thirty-four years ago today the U.S. Supreme Court made one of the most profound statements in support of women's reproductive rights with the landmark ruling of Roe v. Wade. For the first time ever, women nationwide had control over their reproductive choices.

Please join Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania at Cocktails for a Cause, our quarterly happy hour, as we celebrate this monumental decision! The event takes place TOMORROW, January 23, at Devil's Alley, 1907 Chestnut Street in center city Philadelphia, from 5-8pm. There will be drink specials, and as usual, a portion of the bar sales will be donated to Planned Parenthood. There is also a $5 suggested donation at the door.

In the November elections, voters nationwide signaled their support for access to essential reproductive health care services and defeated dangerous abortion bans and restrictions that threatened women's health and safety. We cannot let down our guard. From the courts to the communities, we all must continue to be vigilant and actively engaged so that we can continue to celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade year after year.

Please join us tomorrow to find out what you can do to protect Roe! We hope to see you there!
